Make Your Own Herbal Tea Blends at Home for Pleasure and Health

Inside: Find out how to blend and formulate your own herbal tea at home!

One of the questions I'm asked most is, "How can I use herbs for health? But, I don't want to use tinctures."

An excellent way to begin your journey into the magic of plant healing is using and making herbal loose leaf tea blends (although it's not really magical---its a beautiful science and art).  The thing is, it does take time, and it's a very intuitive process.  It takes practice, some failures, and consistency.  BUT...there is a way to learn more quickly!

When I started learning about herbs, I have to admit, it was a little intimidating.  There is SO much to learn and experiment with, after all.  It's truly one of those things where--the more you know, the more you know you don't know!  :-)  And it's all great!  It's a journey.

So, I decided to create this short course on the art and science of herbal tea formulation to give those of you who are interested in learning about herbal teas for pleasure and health a little fast track boost!  You'll learn what I wished I had known when I first began in a clear, succinct way---and have some tea recipes to play around with too!  :-)

Have You Ever Wanted to Create Your Very Own Tea Blends?

When I finally succumbed to my love of herbal teas for taste, health, relaxing, energizing, and more, I realized that I could probably figure out how to make my own blends that were perfect for...ME!  It took me a very long time to learn the basics through a lot of trial and error.  So I decided I'd write this book explaining all the things it took me quite a while to figure out!

How I Started Learning About Herbs & Teas

I started growing herbs to use in my cooking (thyme, oregano, rosemary, etc.), decades ago, but I didn't know very much about their medicinal value back then. About 20 years ago when I became interested in herbal medicine, I learned more about these common culinary herbs first because I was familiar with them! I learned what powerful healing plants they are.

After that, I learned about all kinds of medicinal herbs in earnest.  In fact, I became (and still am) pretty obsessive about learning and trying everything I could. I began by reading books, and playing around with different herbal blends.

Over a period of several years, I took (and continue to take) herbal courses, and I have become passionate about the healing properties of plants.  I, who used to laugh at those "herbal weirdos" (Ahem...Sorry!), who wanted to use natural remedies and plant medicine instead of trusting in the toxic chemicals of the pharmaceutical world, finally became a proud plant medicine convert!  THANK GOODNESS!

I heal myself now (with the aid of the good Lord above who created medicinal plants for us), and it's been an amazing journey! I’m healthier now as I near 60 years old than I was in my 20’s.

My first forays into herbal medicine creation and use was to make medicinal tinctures.  They are simple and easy to make, although they take a lot of time to process.  I still couldn't get into the "tea thing."  But one of my teachers told me "not to discount the teas."  I'll never forget those words.

So...I started trying to create my own blends, including medicinal blends.  Some of them bombed, BIG time! :-)  It was definitely a process. But, finally, I have gotten to the point where I can make a tasty herbal remedy that does what I need it to, or a delicious tea just for pleasure only, if that's what I want! Best of all, most of my teas do both!

Teas are in the taste of the beholder, though, right?  Since everyone has their unique likes and dislikes, tea blending is actually a very individual process.  Not everyone likes a "zinger" tea.  Not everyone enjoys chamomile.  Not all of us want cinnamon or are hooked on ginger.  It's so personal.

Why I Created this Course for You

Over the years, and after lots of practice and experimentation, I have been able to figure out what works and what doesn't---at least most of the time!

My online video and text course, Creating and Preparing Herbal Teas for Pleasure & Health, is a compilation of things I wish I had known right off the bat, when I first started using and learning about herbs.  I know I would have become passionate about teas a lot sooner, if I had had this information back then!  My tea blend creations would have been smoother and more successful a lot sooner too!

What I Wish I Had Known About Tea Blending

There is definitely an art AND a science to creating tea blends successfully.  Especially when working with medicinal herbs, it's vital to know what the herbs do, how they interact with different herbs, and how to structure a blend for maximum benefit.

It's my hope that with the foundation of this short course, the proven recipes I've included for you to make, that you will be able to have a much smoother and easier start than I had with my herbal beginning.

Herbal teas can be delicious, medicinal and absolutely beautiful at the same time!
